Department Stores and Malls

Amsterdam has great department stores and shopping malls. They offer unique choice of products. De Bijenkorf (The Bee Hive) and Magna Plaza are two great shopping malls in Amsterdam located on the Dam square. Mall shopping offers the opportunity to find every thing in one umbrella, compare prices and make the best buy. Close to our hotel are the "9 straatjes", 9 little streets connected throughout the canal area with many typical Amsterdam shops.

In general, shops are open till 6pm and closed on Sundays. Thursday is the late night shopping day and most shops are open until 9pm. Some supermarkets stay open until 8 or 10 pm. However, on Sundays, you can shop in the city center, Kalverstraat, Damrak, Leidsestraat, and near the Noorderkerk.
